When I was a kid growing up in Tamworth Drive you just lived down the road.I always looked up to you as the kind copper who always had a smile on his face and words of wisdom. You were my role model and because of you I joined the cadets and worked briefly with you at Bury. The world will surely be missing one of lives great characters. Rest well my son. Holty ex3475

You were one of the first kind faces I encountered when I joined Lancs in the early 70\'s and came to Bury. You always made me smile. So sad to hear this xx

Remember when your belt broke on your trousers when we were loading a truck and we had to find a piece of rope to keep your dignity intact.
All you did was help people, and the most dignified man I ever knew.
You were so loved Jack...and always will be. You feature in all the funny stories especially appertaining to the Romania trips !!
PS. We still have your trolley . xxxxxx
